Tours at Walt Disney World

The Magic of Disney Animation - Disney-MGM Studios

This is a self-guided walking tour of the Animation Department at Disney-MGM Studios.  Here you will see how Disney animation comes to life in this real, working animation studio. You’ll peek over the shoulders of Disney artists at work on the next feature. This is where many of newer Disney films were created such as “Beauty and the Beast”, “The Lion King”, and “Mulan”. 

This tour is wheelchair accessible.  The tour is free with park admission. 

Assistive-listening devices which amplify the audio at this location are available at Guest Relations.

Wild by Design, Animal Kingdom

This tour is offered at Animal Kingdom on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.  You must be at least 14 years of age.  The tour lasts for approximately 3 hours.  There are no behind the scenes visits in this tour.  

You'll learn the creative ways, issues such as conservation, animal diets, landscaping, behavioral studies and animal care
are being addressed.  Some brief reminders about this special tour; no cameras are permitted, this is a 3 hour walking tour and is held in mainly outside areas.
**Animal encounters are not on the tour**

The cost is $58 per person, plus admission to the Animal Kingdom.   Don't forget to ask about discounts when you call  to make your reservation.  1-407-WDW-TOUR

Keys to the Kingdom, Magic Kingdom

Unlock the "keys" to the MAGIC KINGDOM park with this unique four hour tour which includes history, trivia and fun!! The tour includes a variety of "onstage" experiences, a visit to two or three attractions, and a peek at two "backstage" areas: our utilidor (tunnel system) and the Production Center.

Duration: 4 1/2 - 5 hours
Cost: $58.00 per person

Family Magic, Magic Kingdom


The Family Magic tour takes every member of the family on an exciting journey through the MAGIC KINGDOM.  Young and old alike are invited to revisit their childhood in this fanciful tour of the most magic place on earth.  This one-of-a-kind interactive tour takes guests through themed lands of the park in search of clues that will lead them straight to one of our crazy Disney characters.  Families of Family Magic will find themselves immersed in the myth
and fantasy of the Disney stories, on an adventure which can only happen in the MAGIC KINGDOM.

Duration: 2 hours
Cost: The cost is $25 (ages 3 and up)

Backstage Magic, Magic Kingdom

Uncover the Disney secrets you've wondered about for years. Delve into the awesome special effects, entertainment and Imagineering behind the artistic, technical and scientific operations found throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. Discover for yourself what it takes to create and maintain the magic every day.

Duration: 7 hours
Cost: $199 per guest (lunch included)

Disney's Welcome to the Magic Kingdom

Experience the Magic Kingdom like a true insider. Walk the length and breadth of the Park on an illuminating journey that provides a geographical overview, as well as a heightened understanding of the individual themes and shows presented in the seven unique lands. Whether it's your first visit or your fiftieth, this tour is a great way to say, "Welcome To The Magic Kingdom!"

Duration: 90 minutes
Cost: $20.00 per adult (10 and up)

Disney's Behind the Magic of Our Steam Trains, Magic Kingdom

Venture into the Magic Kingdom before the Park opens, and accompany the railroad engineers as they ready the massive steam trains for another day of service. Walk the backstage roundhouse where the trains are stored and serviced, and ride the rails as you explore how Walt Disney's lifetime love of steam trains led to their becoming an integral part of the Magic Kingdom. All aboard!

Duration: 3 hours
Cost: $40.00 per person

  • Theme Park admission is required.
  • Guests must be at least 10 years old to attend.

Behind The Seeds, Epcot

This tour is temporarily suspended due to construction in the Land Pavilion.  It is expected to return later in the year.

Discover amazing things about plants, pest management, hydroponics, biotechnology, and fish farming during this one-hour walking tour with an agricultural specialist.  This tour will take you backstage in The Land greenhouses and labs.  The tour is wheelchair accessible.  

To sign up, go to the podium near the Green Thumb Emporium on the lower level of the Land.

Cost is $8 for  adults and  $6 for children (ages 3-9).

Epcot DiveQuest

Prepare for a totally unique diving experience! The Living Seas features a 6-million-gallon indoor aquarium with more than 65 species of marine life, including sharks, huge sea turtles, playful eagle rays and schools of colorful tropical fish. With guaranteed calm seas, no current and unlimited visibility, your quest for the dive of a lifetime ends here.

Duration: 3 hours with the in-water experience lasting 40 minutes.
Cost: $140 per guest (includes all gear and a limited-edition T-shirt

  • Theme Park admission is neither required nor included for this event.
  • Guests ages 10 and up are welcome to participate. Guests between 10 and 14 must to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Younger guests will need Jr. SCUBA certifications.
  • All required equipment is provided, including mask, fins, tank, buoyancy compensator, regulator, weightbelt and a 2.5mm shorty wetsuit. (You may bring your own mask, if preferred.)
  • Comfortable changing rooms with showers are provided, but be sure to bring your own swimsuit.

  • Please do not bring cameras of any kind. However, other members of your party may be able to photograph or video parts of your dive from the observation windows in the pavilion.

Around the World at Epcot

Be a part of the personal transportation revolution when you go for a spin on the SegwayHuman Transporter. This unique experience includes riding lessons and an outdoor adventure around the World Showcase.

Duration: 2 hours
Cost: $80 per person (includes tax)

  • Tours run daily and begin at 9:00 a.m.
  • Guests must be at least 16 years old and weight 250 lbs or less. The signature of a parent or legal guardian is required for participants under 18 years of age. Riders should be in good health and able to stand for the duration of the tour.

Hidden Treasures of World Showcase, Epcot

Open your eyes to the subtle details of art, architecture and costume within each World Showcase pavilion, and see how Disney magic transforms fact into fascination. From the authentic ambience of a bustling marketplace in Morocco to a towering re-creation of France's Eiffel Tower, enjoy an in-depth exploration of the peoples, places and cultures of this unique international community.

Duration: 3 1/2 hours
Cost: $59.00 per person

Gardens of the World, Epcot

Feel your gardening skills grow as you learn the secrets behind the lush landscapes and gorgeous gardens of the Walt Disney World Resort. See how Disney landscaping has become a recognized attraction in and of itself, setting the scene while providing color and enjoyment year round. Best of all, learn how to apply Disney design elements to your own garden.

Cost: $59.00 per person

Disney's Dolphins in Depth, Epcot


Learn about dolphins and the research being conducted at The Living Seas.  You'll also step into shallow water (no swimming) for a hands on encounter  with a dolphin.  Guests 16-18 must be accompanied to the program with a parent or
guardian.

Undiscovered Future World, Epcot


The "undiscovered Future World" tour takes guests back to the creation of EPCOT and discusses the legacy of Walt Disney and his plans for a better world. The tour is a 4 and one half hour walking tour that covers all of the Future World Pavilion and gives you glances at how each area celebrates mans accomplishments and challenges.

Duration: 4 - 4 1/2 hours
Cost: $49.00 per person

  • This is an outdoor walking program.

Seas Aqua Tour

Grab your swimsuit and prepare to get wet. Immerse yourself in an awesome "behind-the-seas" adventure exploring The Living Seas aquarium. Then plunge into the water for a close-up look at the amazing abundance and diversity of the more than 65 species of marine life in this unique coral reef environment.

Duration: 2 1/2 hours with the in-water experience lasting 30 minutes
Cost: $100 per person

  • All prices include tax. Program itinerary, content and prices are subject to change without notice.
  • Theme Park admission is neither required nor included for this event.
  • Admission includes all gear, refreshments, a T-shirt, and a group photo.
  • Water temperature is in the mid-70s.
  • All Guests must wear wetsuits.
  • You do not need any special certifications to participate in this program.
  • All guests ages 8 and up are welcome to participate. Guests between 8 and 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
  • Please bring a bathing suit.
  • Please do not bring cameras of any kind. However, other members of your party may be able to photograph or video parts of your dive from the observation windows in the pavilion.

Backstage Safari, Animal Kingdom

Trek behind the scenes for a walking safari and catch a revealing look at the new and creative ways the specialists at Disney's Animal Kingdom meet the unique challenges of animal care and behavior and promote wildlife conservation. Engage in discussions with keepers as you visit the Animal Nutrition Center, the state-of-the-art Veterinary Hospital and other backstage housing areas.
Duration: 3 hours
Cost: $65.00 per person.
