Disney's Wilderness Lodge

This resort was inspired by Early American National Parks

Northwest-themed interiors, including a massive three-sided stone fireplace in the lobby, multi-colored wood flooring, giant chandeliers, character totem poles, and immense teepees. A bubbling spring in the lobby flows into a waterfall that cascades into the rock-carved swimming pool and spas.

Themed restaurants, including Artist Point which offers Pacific Northwest cuisine and smoked-on-premises meats. Whispering Canyon Cafe is is a themed restaurant where the waiters are involved. Try asking for ketchup - they may bring it out by the case. Races on pony sticks for the kids; Roaring Forks - counter service

Nightly Electrical Water Pageant

Recreation: pool, creek, erupting geyser, marina, whirlpool, white sand beach, bicycling, water skiing, arcade. Take a boat or walking path to Fort Wilderness which offers numerous recreation opportunities

Room amenities: some rooms have a bunk bed in place of one of the regular beds; room service; voice mail; in-room safe; valet parking; boat to MK and Fort Wilderness; Lady Bug release program (kids get a box of Lady Bugs to let go); Flag Family (sign up to raise the flag - great view of all of Walt Disney World from the WL rooftop; fridge on request for $10/night.
